What is the ServiceSOS™ SOS alert button for?
The ServiceSOS™ is an SOS alert button connected to a mini GSM control unit. In case of danger (assault at the counter, intrusion, medical episode), a discreet press is enough to trigger the alert: the unit sounds a siren and immediately notifies your contacts, wherever they are.
Unlike the radio call buttons in the ServiceBip™ range, the ServiceSOS™ communicates over the GSM network: recipients don’t need to be on site.
How does the ServiceSOS™ work?
Once the alert is triggered, either from the mini control unit’s button or from a paired safety accessory:
- the siren sounds;
- a customisable alert SMS is sent to up to 10 pre-programmed recipients;
- the recipient can call the control unit back to listen in via the built-in microphone, and speak to the person through the speaker (two-way conversation).
The system works wirelessly, with no installation or complex programming. It keeps working during a power outage thanks to its built-in battery, and grows with numerous safety accessories. A remote ServicePanic™ emergency call button (range ≈ 100 m in open field) adds mobility.
